Creating comics that showcase everything Nigerian, even juju

Just like Voltron, the hero of the animated series that goes by the same name, another comic hero is coming up to be the defender of the Nigerian universe. The only difference is that this hero is totally down to earth and proudly Nigerian. It started as a dream in the mind of young Busola Elegbede, a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Lagos State University, but now it has grown to regular comic magazines titled, Kinetic, Half and Kaboom.

Taking to comics, for Elegbede, is a matter of passion and of course the pecuniary benefits that go with it. For the latter, she believes that comics is another strong medium that can be employed to tell the world about the rich cultural history, myths and legends of Nigerians much like the Japanese and the Chinese have done.
Elsewhere, the comic is a very powerful medium and its translation to screen such as the Superman and Batman series has for a long time dominated the Hollywood industry; sweeping the box office from time to time.
